HIP HOP NEWS: Alicia Not Retiring, T.I. Sued Over Grammy Song, Cassie Denies RUMORS!!!

Alicia Keys cleared up the air recently, Keys renege on her past statements that suggested she was planning to retire by her 30th birthday. Com’on Really?

According to the 29-year-old, she was only talking about the option of retiring, but has no intention to do so any time soon.

“I was just saying that I would like the option to be able to retire by 30. I feel very blessed… but I definitely have so much more to do. I have so many things that I want to do, so many more things I want to get involved in, important things I want to do… I have to perform, I love it so much.”

Previously Alicia Keys hinted that she might want to hang up the mic and just collaborate with some artists. “Working with other people is definitely something I want to do more of,” she said of her recent trend towards collaboration. “I love it a lot. It takes me out of my element into a whole other world. I’d love to collaborate with Kings of Leon and M.I.A. I think would be crazy.”

Then, rapper T.I.  is being sued for copyright infringement according to reports.

The lawsuit is based on his 2006 grammy-award winning track “What You Know.”

Fellow rapper Motoe Blizzid, or Nathan Filby as he is known to the government, is saying the song uses real parts of his 2004 song “Reverence.”

Blizzid says that it isn’t even a question that TIP ripped him off as it has the “same rate of harmonic range” and “virtually identical core harmonic progression of descending 4ths” not to mention “nearly identical instrumental melodic lines in terms of pitch, shape, and rhythm.”

Com’on Tip, you know better than that? This is a serious problem in music, rap, hip-hop and rock as artist who are already in the biz constantly steel from unknown artist’s. So word to all unknowns keep your shit and get your game up legally so they can’t steel! We just saying.

I’m sorry but yesterday i read that John Travolta was heading to Haiti to help with disaster victims, but now I fond out something new.

He’s going with a team of Scientologist, you know Scientology. Not the best thing to do, it’s like trick them when they are down to take advantage of people, makes me a little uncomfortable. I’m just NOT too happy about this news.
